HAS A NEW MEETING PLACE
SOUTHILL YOUTH CLUB
Southill Youth and Community Centre, Radipole Lane, Southill, Weymouth, Dorset DT4 9SF
Starting in January 2010, The South Dorset Radio Society has a new meeting venue. TIt is easy to find, being adjacent to the Emmanuel Church on Radipole Lane at the junction with Southill Garden Drive and Field Barn Drive. The link above will take you to a map. Field Barn Drive is best accessed off of the Chaffeys Roundabout on the A354 Weymouth Way. See the picture of the Youth Club Building below.
The Youth Club building is the one with the orange door and is accessed by footpath from either the Shopping Centre car park or Southill Garden Drive. The Emmanuel Church can be seen on the right of the picture.
The Society meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 7.30 for 8pm (except August).
A Net is held each Monday evening in the Weymouth area from 8pm local time. The Net controller is normally Graham, 2E1GOQ.
Please note that this Net is not currently
active!
SDRS MONDAY NIGHT 2M NET - MOVE to GB3DR
As discussed and agreed at the SDRG AGM; From Monday the 21st of November 2005 the South Dorset Radio Society Net moved from 145.350MHz simplex to the new South Dorset Repeater, GB3DR on 145.7375MHz. It is hoped that this will encourage more people to take part. The Net runs from 2000 to 2100 local time. Reports please to Graham, 2E1GOQ who normally runs the Net.
All are welcome to join in even if you are
not a SDRS member.

Visitors are always welcome at meetings or events. The current (2008/2009) annual subscription is £10.50 and the Annual General Meeting is held in April. Cheques should be made out to the South Dorset Radio Society and sent to the Treasurer at 45 Ringstead Crescent, Weymouth, Dorset DT3 6PT. Please make sure that you include your full postal address and if applicable your callsign and e-mail address. Please be aware that your personal information may be held on a computer data base for the exclusive use of the Society only.

CONTACTS: New phone numbers and e-mail address's for some committee members and the Web Master have been added to this page recently. Any member can have a SDRS e-mail address (callsign@g3sds.org.uk) The e-mail can be forwarded automatically to any other e-mail address. If your personal e-mail address is rather long or confusing the SDRS one is easy to use over the air and also promotes the society. Please note that the webmaster relies on those who use this facility to keep him up to date. If you change your e-mail address or callsign you must let him know!
